Prime minister Theresa May is to start talks in Sweden and Denmark starting tomorrow. I hope that she is taken to this main freight processing point on the Norway/ Sweden border. Norway is in the single market but not the customs union. It is enormous and has capacity to process 2500 trucks per day. The implications for Dover, where currently 10,000 trucks per hour pass through are horrendous, should the UK government continue on its current path of a "clean break" with the EU. What would happen on the island of Ireland does not bear thinking about.
