The school run
Whatever the rights and wrongs of the NUT members strike, it does give an opportunity to assess the contribution that the school run makes to road congestion. Already, a BBC Wales reporter has commented on the light traffic in Rhondda Cynon Taf.

Would agree with you Frank; the Tondu Road from Maesteg to Bridgend is incredibly quiet during school half terms and holidays, only goes to show what a difference the school run makes to congestion.
I remember walking to school, and this didn't do me any harm, it's an unfortunate consequence of our society that parents would rather take their children to school in their car rather than having that child walk.
