BBC is splashing (e.g. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-26770727 ) the results of a sample survey of social housing providers which show that there has been no major change in occupancy after a year of the housing benefit cuts aimed to encourage single people to move out of subsidised multi-bedroomed accommodation.
The BBC results should be read in conjunction with an IPSOS/Mori survey (pdf here), published in February, of twice as many providers, together with an update promised for this summer.
My view was stated here.
